where's the walking stick?
ok, mock com is over. it was fun, i muz say. the planning part wasn't fun, i've realised that so much goes into planning a very thorough case. the horror of distributing marks in the marksheet. ergh! this takes so much more time than the usual practice cases during training. the the judging part wasn't fun too. some teams have surpass our expectations, some teams kinda flopped. it's kinda like soccer, who can determine who excel and who flop on the competition ground? no one can say who does better in that short time, no matter how much training u've done. this mock com might have shown us a lot, or it might not have shown us anything at all. so don be discouraged, nor should u be complacent. let this be a chance/motivation for all to continue to spur on. whether u've done well or not, coz everything can change. and of coz, no point crying over spilt milk.
actually, to be frank, results lik this do not matter. whether gd or bad. wad matters is that u did ur best. we've lost countless soccer matches (actually i can count lah, jus too lazy). but when we did our best, the coach can see it, we can see it, everyone leaves happy. it's the same here. if u did ur best, we'll all see it. results usually come naturally. also it's the lessons u've learnt that counts. the best teams r not the ones that excel all the time. they r the ones that can take defeat into their stride and learn from past experience.
things i've learnt from mock com:
1. it's really like soccer. a one-time performance cannot determine everything. but sadly, most of the time, u only have that one chance.
2. wearing court shoes one size too small for >12hrs is one horrific experience.
3. so much goes into planning a case.
4. being chief judge is actually not bad, u just stand there and watch them. don have to mark them on FA coz that's eve and cheryl's job. so in the middle of the case, i just slack there and attempt to observe. fun!
oh shoot, i have an ink mark on gladys' shirt! die die. i'm sorry, i'll try all means to wash it. i promise.
wad's wrong wid vulgur words? as in they're rude and they sometimes make u look uncivilised, i agree. and some ppl can't accept them. but i think they r expressive. i use them when i'm disappointed/angry/irritated and all other negative feelings. it's kinda my way of expression of anger. and i do not go for ultra vulgur words like fu*k. that's reserve for the meaness ppl. and of coz for steph and jane who use it as often in their daily language as i say emm..."hello"? someone said i'm straight forward. i wonder if i am.
"where's my walking stick?" ok, everytime Jia Yan ask that qn, we'll laugh like crazy. and no one shld go touch that cheese container on the few tables at the entrance of pasta mania, tamp mall. it contains hidden treasures called fusilli and penne. totally hilarious.

It's unmistakeable
And each time I look in your eyes
I know why
This love is untouchable
I feel that my heart just can't deny
Each time I look in your eyes
Oh baby, I know why
This love is unbreakable
