on another note, i placed my 1st soccer bet the day before. there's a huge sign there that prohibits betting for kids below 18. but wad the heck, i'll be 18 in a few more days. so my dad helped me bet on japan to win. the odds were pretty good - 2.70. so i shld win $13.50 for that $5 bet. and the odds for Aust winning is 2.30. so smart ppl will bet on both teams to win (ie buy 2 bets) coz the winning of either will cover the cost. but i reckon betting on 1 only will be more fun and spare me the agony if they draw. but guess wad? japan lost thanks to the 'smart' choice of the Aust coach to make an intelligent substitution. wadeva~ i don think it's a smart choice coz i lost. humph. and japan are supposed to dominate the game! *smack forehead* asian teams are so unpredictable...
oh. and i finally developed pictures taken during the soccer finals. and it was a wise choice to develop those pictures of the whole team to an awesome-ly fantastic (and expensive) 6R size. coz i can see 20-30 over faces clearly and the huge size matches the importance of this event. it gives me great joy to paste them in my photo album and admire them. but i can't do that for very long coz Desperate housewives was on. oh, and i conclude that i can be photogenic at times. in some pics my smile turns out quite nice, in some pics not really. or izzit becoz the photographer took too much time and my smile becomes numb liao? or, izzit becoz the photogenic gene switches itself in and off at certain times due to the effect of enhancers and silencers in the nucleus and cytoplasmic determinant in the cytoplasm? but i love those pictures anyway. everyone should develop their photos instead of leaving them to rot in the computer. they tell a story of one's life and mark the times when we were particularly happy, joyous (mostly), upset, desperate etc. I reckon i will probably get tearful when i see these pictures again. =)
