toy story 2
i must say this holiday is the slackest of all. sleep and sleep and sleep. quite sad actually, considering that there's a bloody stack of notes to tackle and study for common test. i'm so gonna
pia my physics so that i can get out of the sickening physics r. yeah man!
watched Toy Story 2 last sunday after a sad sad attempt to study. i love Pixar film. they are like the disney cartoons we used to watch when we were young. just that now they have 3d graphics, less singing/dancing, more non-human characters, more special effects and are distributed by Disney. haha! anyway, it's really funny and less sick then Toy Story.
there was this part when the female cowboy, Jessie, was recalling her past about her owner playing with her for many years before discarding her as she grows up and goes for make-up and stuff. the whole part had a song playing. i'm not sure wad's the title but it goes, "when somebody loved you, everything was beautiful. every hour we spent together.." should go find the title of the song. the point is, for that few minutes, i swear i can feel my eyes going watery and my nose getting red. i felt like crying so much. *sniff* quite funny ah, to cry in a kids' comedy show. but i wiped my tears away quickly coz i don wanna cry in front of my bro and mom. it's so dumb and i don like to cry in front of ppl. i think it's a bit
aa. a bit only lah.
for the rest of the show, i was thinking that if the toys could think and talk, what would they say to us when we grow up? i remember playing for hours wid my 'cooking utensils' when i was lik 3-4yrs old. then it was barbie. yes, don laugh. they're fun. it's actually quite fun to comb and comb their hair and dress them up. there was also those McDonald toys with every happy meal. those free toys were fun lo. though most of them were clockwork and all were made from China. now, they all either suck at the clockwork part or they don move at all.
well, as we grow old, we have less time for them. or we simply don play them. duh, who plays with 'cooking utensils' when they're in upper pri or sec school? so comes the time when we have to sort out the toys we wanna keep and those we wanna throw away. at first, i do feel reluctant to throw them. then wait a few more times and i toss them away to make room for the new stuff like furniture and electronics. the worst things to part with are the soft toys. it's a wonder i nv sneeze lik mad every morning despite sleeping with the furballs everynight when i was small. *sigh* i wish for the days when life was carefree and stressfree...
now my younger cousins are glued to Xbox and PS2 and
what have you. and one of them, think he's pri5 now, plays chess as a hobby, take lessons for it and represent his school for it. CHESS?! seriously? actually i'm rather impressed that his IQ is so high. and i figure out why i don like chess and reversi and checkers and other related games - too lazy to think. yah true! the tot of just sitting there for hours and, well, either thinking or waiting for the other person to think just puts me off. i rather run and kick some balls. yeah man!
