just woke up for my very very much needed nap after the World cup! i'm so happy that i'm in VJ. they totally own at making us happy. the half-day today was much much more wonderful than starting lessons late, like the ppl in PJC and ACS(I). to think we were grumbling during and after the finals bout y we had to go to school on the next day. considering that i had less than 6 hrs of sleep for the past 2 days, hitting the sack is 'awww....'

we had our testimonial match on saturday. jc1 vs jc2. we won but much credit muz be given to the coaches who played for us. my stamina and fitness have fallen very much. to think we were on our peak a little less than 2 mths ago. and eileen wasn't there coz she had a sprain ankle and stomach flu. sigh! i really missed her. get well soon! and after that we had a DIY BBQ in sch. i'm pretty amazed that we can actually cook chicken, sausage and other food quite nicely using aluminium trays and a grill only. but the BBQ couldn't last long coz the wind was too strong. so in the end, bee, salome, charmaine and me ended up huffing and puffing and fanning like mad in a attempt to save the dying BBQ. the hilarious thing was that there was the song 'Eternal flames' on the radio playing in the background. quite stupid. =D

and we had our exco elections too. i guess this gathering signals the official end of the J2's time in VJSG. it has been a fantastic life-changing one and a half years spent with them. there were lessons to be learnt by the mind and soul and memories to be kept my the heart.

shi ling, grace, wara, jaslyn and i troop to salome's house to watch the world cup finals yesterday. real fun. i think the match was much less interesting and exciting than the 3rd-4th placing one though the stakes for this one is so much higher. portugal has much more of the possession but the germans still win. sad! one more thing, i swear c.ronaldo is so fast that u have to play the match in slow motion to see his feet move the ball. no one can deny his skills man and i'm on for portugal at south africa 2010. where will i be then?

it's weird. for most people, the highlight for the soccer matches are of coz the goals and stuff but one of the reasons i watch soccer matches is coz i wanna watch the few mins of pre-, post-match and halftime scenes. i noe this is stupid but i kinda like watching the players sing their national anthem, the referee flip the coin, the way the players troop to the dressing room during halftime and the way they celebrate the win with the crowd. guess it shows how much the world cup brings the human out of us.
there was this scene during the 3rd-4th match halftime when the 2 coaches from portugal (!!!) and germany hugged and chatted before the start of the 2nd half.
