shake up your tired eyes, the world is waiting for you
I'm sensing a lot of frustration lately. it's natural i guess. uni life is, sadly, a pretty lonely one. even though there might be millions of ppl one can wave hi to on the way to school, there is only a handful (literally) that one can chat really seriously with. it is lots of people's name known but less than ten of those people than mean something. i wouldn't say it is more stressful in uni as compared to jc, at least not yet, but the frustration level can be pretty high sometimes.
i guess it's coz wad we are going through now just do not meet our expectations, which has been forming since the moment we decide which route we wanna go. what do u do when u struggle, thrash and finally surface out of the murky water but don't see a sandy beach and clear sky? i donno if it's good when our expectations are high. it spurs us on yet it may turn around us and hit us in the face in the end. like a clown hired to make us look stupid.
only thing worst is when the expectations that others want from us is beyond what we can give. uni life is fun for me, but it isnt exactly a blast. some may think they had it worst but i guess we only have ourselves to blame. motivation too low, workload too high... whatever reasons it may be.
i had a short chat with this ex-collegue, who was from Phillippines. hence she was deeply religious and hasn't really met someone who is a free-thinker. i guess there isn't many of such ppl in the society she was brought up in. she was pretty surprise to learnt that i was a free-thinker. so she asked,"so how do u deal with problems? who do u turn to?"
"ï guess i'll just deal with it."
yeah if only it was just as easy as saying those 3-words. i guess life's like that. we all have to go through the lows for the sake of the highs. if we had it bad, there will bound to be others that had it worst. i've known some of them and i still don think they deserve to miss a chance. not because they are my friends, but because their hard work do not equal to their results. it's just unfair. but since when life is fair? it would be scary if life was completely fair.
"what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". it's worth to enter the struggle. just keep that in mind and on your room wall if needed. =D
pardon me for the vulgaries. life is a bitch, i noe. but it least it isn't a whore.
