依依不捨的愛過的人 往往有緣沒有份
i received a good compliment today, it came from my communications fundemental teacher. "you speak with a lilt (that's the word. thx jon) it's very musical, like you're singing. it's very unique too. i know you're speaking just by listening to your voice" I take it that she meant well. she's a nice woman
then there was a better compliment from PJ, "i like your writing style on your blog. it sounds like you're speaking." haha! *grin*
but the best compliment of the day was, "you're a good audience. when i see you smiling and nodding during my presentation, i believe in what i'm presenting" now, that made my day =)
taking a break from all this mugging madness. exams is in a freaking 10 days away and i doubt i'm even half-way through. so much readings and notes to make. sigh... this is when the intensive schooling system of uni gets to me. there is only 1 chance and there isn't a way for you to learn from your mistakes, at least from those related to the content of the subjects.
i think MSN is one of the most interesting IT inventions eva. i would not say whether it's completely good or bad. you can have ppl you hardly met a few times in real life, yet know so much bout them through the almost-daily conversation on MSN. you can have really close frens but seldom click to chat on MSN, except for the usual short and simple "GO OUT THIS FRIDAY! WAN WAN WAN?" kinda thing, yet they're the best pals in the world. cash transactions and ordering can be confirmed via MSN with no need to meet up, the informality of MSN scares me more than ordering via email. you can not reply for an even longer time than that for an sms, yet still be in conversation with that person. you can not reply, not because you're busy, but becoz you just don wanna answer, yet the person will nv noe. and most impt, i'm not sure whether being able to hide all emotions and project fake ones with all the words (haha! etc) and emoticons is a good tool or a flaw in communication.
anyway i shall put up a collection of random pics taken from my phone. sometimes it's these pics taken at the spur of the moment that make them interesting.
this was taken during one of my marketing tutorial. the grp was presenting a marketing plan to start a business of love boat dining in s'pore. so that's the head chef speaking. they also had a CEO, a violin player and a gondola rower. very entertaining! they definitely deserve the top grade.

then the same marketing group also gave huge roses to the girls in our class. so pretty! definitely sets the mood for the presentation.

pepsi tarik! see before? it's one of the failed products by pepsi. it was presented in OB, together with other weird failed beverages. the presentation was bout how co. can learn from failures to breed success.

this pic was really randomly taken. was looking at an angmoh father and son and i noticed how much bigger the human adult is compared to the baby. the baby was really adorable - big eyes brown hair and all.

the sunset taken while walking back to hall after my elective. i like the skies in NTU coz there're few tall buildings and we're always nv on level ground.

and my fav pic of all. this was done by a guy from my hall to impress his gal. for those who dono, this is on the sloping rooftop of the ADM sch opp my hall. i heard he opened glow sticks and pour the liquid onto the heart to make it glow at night. now, can anyone be any sweeter?
i think i'm getting old. i found a playlist that plays all 周華健 songs and they sound really good coz the lyrics are so meaningful. of coz there's the usual ones, like 花心, that are always playing on my mom's cd player and there's definitely 朋友 which i remember singing at every SJ campfire
but 忘憂草 really struck a chord in my heart. the lyrics are really well written:
